Prologue - Wake up Call…

She saw him walking towards her as she sat there with hands tied to the chair. She couldn’t see his face. It was all a blur. She tried to move, but couldn’t. She wanted to scream for help, call out to whoever could listen to her voice, but she didn’t find a voice in her throat. She screamed in her head, but all she heard was silence. This did not seem normal. A flurry of thought went through her head – Had he drugged her? Had she lost her voice because of all this? Had something gone wrong with her ability to hear her own voice? No, wait. She could hear the footsteps as he approached her. Then what was wrong. She looked at her hands, they weren’t tied down anymore, instead they were just lying there in her lap. She couldn’t move them. Once again, the questions came – Had she lost the will to move? Was she paralyzed? Is this what they called the fear of death? There were no answers, only questions. She looked around the room. It was large and empty, other than the chair that she was sitting in and the single source of bright yellow light above her head, hanging ominously. But it was clean. There was a sense of recognition to this place. She remembered this place – like from a dream, or maybe from reality? Then it struck her, he was close. She looked up, but still couldn’t see him, as the bright light made her close her eyes – or maybe it was fear that did so. She felt him close, right next to her. She didn’t want to open her eyes – it WAS fear. Then she heard his voice, whispering almost in her right ear, “Siya!”. She trembled as she heard him say her name, “You never understood me.”

“Who are you?”, she wanted to shout back at him, but the voice never came out.

“But now”, he continued, ”I’ll make you understand my way.”

“It’s time you understood me, the way I understand you.”

“It’s time”, the words echoed in her head, as she wondered what would happen next.

A New Chapter begins….

I have decided that this will be a new chapter in this blog… My personal blog from now on will not just be “The story of my life”… But it will also be another story… that I am writing…

For those of you who have seen my writing pieces earlier, they know that I can be pretty boring or interesting based on what you think of my writing style. But I’m going to right a story, in my style, and if you’re interested, you can read it – chapter by chapter, week after week…

So, wait till tomorrow for the first chapter…
